Havanese, for some Bichon Havanese - a Cuban breed that has been formed of dogs brought there on ships. These dogs have a bit longer than medium coat (12-18cm long) and are of 23-27 cm of height at withers. They can be almost any color - from white to black and from red to white.
The real value of havanese is their temperament - they are extremely intelligent, well meaning and fun dog who is ready to learn everything the owner wants them to. They are companion dogs - if you work in computer, they lay on your legs and if you go for a run, they happily join you. You can see them in show rings and on agility courses and if you allow, they are ready to digg holes for you as well as help you sorting the laundry - whatever the owner teaches them!
Havanese are in general also great with kids on condition that both sides know the rules of common household. Dog is not disturbed when dog sleeps and kids are not disturbed when they sleep. None of the parties uses teeth on the other and there is no bullying - these simple rules and havanese will make a fine companion to your kids.
